I do not usually go to hunt coins, but I have realized that this last times I have gone, every time I step over an iron or approach a large iron the first sound signal is positive, in the second pass the sound is Right.
I have tried to lower the GAIN to 2, the RT to 9 and do 10k-times GB (I always get the same GS, between 005 and 035 depending on the terrain) and some stability is gained, but with these low values a lot of depth is lost.

Any idea why this happens? Can the RT Bound be too loud?

Do you get straight hod line when GBing?

Yep, straight hodo line, GS005 Phase +6 with standart 11.5x9.5@7Khz
Its dificult to GB in extralight soil with only gain 2 , turbo mode is mandatory for GBing.

I can really raise the gain to 8 and RT to 10 and it behaves the same on iron, 1st positive 2nd ok

That happens when coil is moving nearby and is not covering the iron target, it detects the iron by its (coil's) edge. Second pass covers the iron and it's identified correctly (as iron). Lowering Gain helps to prevent catching nearby targets by coil edge.

Only way to reduce + signals on iron is to set LTBound to -10 instead of -24/-34.
Works ok except on big iron (schrapnel).

Setting LT Bound depends on frequency and local iron signals

it means if particular site produces majority of iron signals (close to non ferrous zone) with VDI -30, you set LT bound to -30 or to -28 at the very border of iron
