All of us know how to check if GB is correct by pumping coil several times in hunting mode or pump it in manual GB mode. If no sound produced in hunting mode or there is no (or there is slightly heard) buzz sound in manual GB mode, that means GB is correct and no adjustments to should be applied to GB. Otherwise GB should be corrected. All that is described in thread: "How To Check If GB (Ground Balance) Is Done Correctly"

But what detectorist should do if he run over grounds with GB changes with every 15 or 20 meters like it could happen at river floodplain sites? He can manually correct GB or...

Actually ground is not persistent at all. The most sensitive and deep going mode with all metals open and RT channel activated requires GB correction on constant basis. It could be done manually or automatically by activating autotracking feature. (SuchMuch Remark: this is to remind Vladi hunts on highly mineralized grounds and he has nothing but to correct GB regurarly). In order to correct GB detector needs to notice great signal amplitude change, that could be done by several coil pumps (autotracking feature should be activated) and detector will correct GB phase to a correct one. Alternatively you can tune GB phase in manual GB mode as always in order to correct GB.

In other words, switch autotracking on and if you notice there are false signals due to GB changes, just pump coil several times and GB will be corrected.

This is to remind not to switch autotracking on at sites badly polluted with hot/cold rocks and iron ;)
