My Sorex Ultra is being modded with wireless headset. Transmitter will be integrated into control box and will be powered by Sorex itself. There will be a trigger that switches transmitter on and off and led that indicates if transmitter is activated. Thanks for the mod go to @asgo .

I chose variant of an upgrade with reciever integrated into small box and powered with 2xAAA. Thus I'll be able to connect any cord headphones I want. I preffered this variant to a variant with receiver integrated into headphones due to headphones are supplied with Li-ion batteries and they run 10 hours (large headphones) and 7 hours (Deus WS4 like headphones). If I'm out for 2-3 days, it's better to have variant with batteries. Sometimes I hunt when it's cold (-10 Celsius degrees) and Li-ion batteries do not like cold conditions.

So, the question is: Which cord headphones to choose for below options:
    1. Cord headphones with 1 head phone. I want 1 ear to be open if somebody tries to approach me, so I'll be able to notice it.
    2. Cord headphones with 2 head phones. I don't want it to be bulky and fully closed like Garrett headphones. They should be well ventilated.
I do own Garrett and Sennheiser headphones, both of them with large cups

I use Sunray pro gold headphones that were specifically made to use with Minelab's CTX 3030.They work well with any detector, the cord is nicest cord I have found yet.

Here is Killer B I've found when looking, I bought my sunray from Rich but it looks like he doesn't carry them any longer.

BTW, B&B distributors makes both Killer B and sunray Headphones. The noise filter selection knocks 26 decibles off from the overload sound.Comfort when switching on Tesoros with a blaring battery check upon star up.

You can take XP back phones and use those speakers into building a headset. They are quite good sound quality. The frames suck but the sound is above average.

They leave hot or sore spots while wearing those types of head phones after several hours of use.Garrett, makes one with a 1/4" jack on them but I haven't used them to know the quality of them.I can't help you because I would rather not use headphones rather than use those type of head phones. The listed one XP wired headphones are great sounding ,I do use the XP wired ones that were posted but only for my computer while watching youtube videos but not for hunting at extended lengths of time.
