There are several objects hidden inside coil you can see, guess what are they?

@StiV what do you think about this?

piece of metal compensates the most sensetive part of the coil

It's very interesting. As coils only work by moving them over an object to work, why install ferrite and metal.

How do these small pieces of metal compensate the sensitivity of the loom.

Piece of ferrite compensates entire coil. If you look attentively you'll notice a drill hole the ferrite is inserted in
Metal part is used to reduce the most sensitive part of the coil.

Hi SuchMuch, do you know the coil connector pinout? Which pin is Tx, Rx, Gnd/Shield.

I'm still new to AKA but from the pict. above I assume AKA detectors compatible with wide range of coils ranging 1-30khz tuned circuit (inductors and capacitors).
    For example : Tesoro's coils

    Regards
    John

SuchMuch thank you for the images above. I'll check the coil inductance and resistance once I get back home.
    Cheers

Please make sure to take photos pinpointing which ones are which please.
It may be very good helpful information for someone now or in the future.

What coils are you thinking of trying?
